Atlas Clinical is a UK-based, family-run manufacturer and supplier of professional chiropractic treatment tables and therapy aids. Founded in 1978 by David Antrobus D.C., a practising chiropractor, Atlas Clinical has over 45 years of experience designing and manufacturing equipment trusted by chiropractors and clinical therapists across the UK and internationally. All tables are manufactured in the company’s own workshop in Staffordshire, England.
Atlas Clinical tables are designed and manufactured in-house at the company’s own workshop in Staffordshire, England. They are not imported or outsourced. Every table is built to Atlas Clinical’s own specification and quality standards.
Atlas Clinical was founded in 1978 by David Antrobus D.C., an experienced chiropractor. The company remains family-run today.
Atlas Clinical is one of the few chiropractic table manufacturing companies, that has as its founder and chief designer, a practising chiropractor. This means every table has been designed from a clinician’s perspective, with patient care, ease of operation and long-term durability at the centre of every design decision. This is combined with in-house UK manufacture, a history of innovation in design & manufacture, and excellent after-sales support.
Atlas Clinical manufactures professional chiropractic treatment tables and therapy aids.
Atlas Clinical manufactures a range of versatile and durable chiropractic tables, and a selection of more specialist tables.
The main requirement for a chiropractic treatment table is vertical height adjustment, or ‘verti-lift’ which raises the working height of the table up & down to suit the height of the clinician and the technique being performed. This verti-lift feature is the central feature of all our tables except for our static models.
The RC2 table is designed as a cost-effective versatile treatment table to cater for the most highly requested features of chiropractic tables.
The RM series of tables are Atlas Clinical’s flagship products: they have the capability of 4 drop mechanisms, thoracic flexion, pelvic flexion distraction, electrically motorised pelvic flexion distraction, air powered drop mechanisms, and pelvic lateral flexion.
The McTimoney series of tables have been designed specifically for McTimoney chirorpactors to incorporate a bespoke ‘pedestal’ style head section.
The B series of tables are a very simple table – wide and long like the McTimoney table, with a normal Atlas style head section.
The Static RM2 table is an RM2 without verti-lift, designed for clinics without reliable or reachable electricity supply.
Atlas Clinical tables are highly appropriate for use by osteopaths, physiotherapists, sports therapists, massage therapists and other clinical professionals. For those professions who do not use drop mechanisms or diversified technique, the B serries of tables is cost-effective option that also provides a larger surface area for the patient to lie on. For osteopaths, the lateral pelvic flexion available on the RM3 is very useful.
Atlas Clinical chiropractic tables are primarily constructed from hot rolled, bright drawn, or laser-cut mild steel. The steel frames are then painted with the powder coating process. Exposed metalwork is mostly made of stainless steel, which is then polished. Other parts including the base frame of the RC2 and RM tables are covered in vacuum formed ABS plastic. The upholstery pads are covered in PVC or pigmented leather to the customer’s specification.
All of our chiropractic tables come with a range of additional options that a customer can choose to customise their table to their specific needs. Customers can also choose from vinyl or leather upholstery.
Atlas Clinical manufactures Palpation Units, Posturometer Frames. The palpation unit is designed to assist in motion palpation – the patient is positioned at a convenient height, whilst the chiropractor is free to move in an arc around the patient. The Posturometer frame uses guidelines to measure the alignment of the patient’s spine.
We also supply clinic consumables, including Head Roll Paper, Couch Roll Paper, and a range of practitioner gowns for all sizes.
Atlas Clinical offers generous guarantees on its treatment tables. The frame metalwork is guaranteed for 15 years. The electric motors have a 5 year guarantee. The gas struts have a 1 year guarantee. The upholstery is guaranteed to be free from defects on delivery.
This guarantee does not necessarily apply to overseas sales and sales through international agents; they will have their own terms of sale.
Atlas Clinical tables are engineered for lasting performance and long-term durability. Some of our older models have remained working for about 40 years. The company’s after-sales support and availability of spare parts means tables can be maintained and serviced for a long time. However, due to the availability of spare parts, we are slowly winding down support for some of our very old models.
Yes. Atlas Clinical provides long-term, high-quality after-sales support and service. By phone, video-call, or on-site maintenance, we want to keep your table working well.
Are spare parts available for older Atlas Clinical tables?
We hold a stock of spare parts for all production models, previous models, and most of our production history, including some tables which are more than 30 tears old. However, due to the availability of spare parts, we are slowly winding down support for some of our very old models.
Atlas Clinical recommends that tretamnet tables are srevcied once per year by an Atlas personaell, as these valuable high use professional products. We do offer bespoke service plans and contracts to educational establishments and private clinics on request.
In the UK, tables can be ordered through the Atlas Clinical website at www.atlasclinical.com, by telephone (01543 255107), or by e-mail info@atlasclinical.com If you are outside of the UK please contact our Agents. [insert URL]
How long does delivery take?
Please contact us for expected delivery lead times for our tables and treatment aids. These products are made to order. Our delivery lead time varies from between 8 – 12 weeks on average. However if you need your tables for a specific date, please contact us, and we can usually work to a date. We can sometimes provide loan tables.
Clinic consumable products have a delivery lead time of 1 week, but for gowns this is dependant upon stock availability.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
We deliver world-wide either direct or through our internation agents.
UK mainland deliveries of tables includes delivery to point of use, set-up and user demonstration. We deliver to the UK mainland ourselves with our own staff.
International or over the water deliveries will be made by road freight or dedicated van; road freight is delivered in a wooden case to the curb-side and will require the customer to un-pack the table from the case and site in-clinic. Dedicated van is similar but often without the wooden case.
We are happy for prospective customers to visit our workshop in Lichfield, Staffordshire; however, please let us know you are coming as we may not have the table you want to see in stock.
Our tables start from £2100, not including VAT or delivery.
Atlas Clinical charges VAT on all sales in the UK unless you are exempt; for an example a charitable organisation, or equipment used in medical training.
We offer finance and payment plans through 3rd party finance companies such as Johnson Reed Business Finance and Medifinance amongst others.
We sometimes offer discounts on multi-unit purchases at our own discretion.
Atlas Clinical treatment tables are designed and manufactured in accordance with the COUNCIL REGULATION (EF) 2017/745 by 5th of April 2017, Medical devices, Risk class I

Please see individual product pages for dimensions of specific tables
Atlas verti-lift tables generally conform to the below dimensions:
Length 170 to 220cm
Width 55 to 79cm
Height 44.5cm to 94cm
Atlas tables are designed to use the domestic power supply and normal UK type G plugs. However tables can be ordered with the appropriate plugs for international orders, and all RM tables have an IEC connection.
To run a table off a 3-phase power supply would require a step-down transformer. However a clinic having exclusively a three-phase power supply would be so rare as to almost be fanciful.
Atlas tables are well suited and compatible for use with drop mechanisms, Thompson technique, activator technique, and other common chiropractic adjusting methods, tools, and techniques. For example:
Supine cervical adjusting, Atlas recoil, Cervical traction, Thoracic recoil, Lumbar recoil, Thoraco-lumbar drop, pelvic recoil, pelvic block & Thompson technique, lumbar side posture, pelvic flexion distraction, knee chest, extremity technique, supine pelvic traction, oscillating flexion distraction.
