Service

As professional medical practitioners operating valuable high-use equipment, we recommend that customers have their Atlas tables serviced once a year. Clean and smoothly functioning equipment will enhance the professional image of your clinic.

A service of your treatment table from Atlas Clinical includes:

  • Thorough cleaning of the table framework.
  • Re-grease and re-lubrication of pivot points, spring and other components.
  • Mechanical operation test of the table.
  • Replacement of drop tension springs.
  • Test range and operation of gas struts.
  • Test the safety of the head release catch.
  • Inspection and recommendation for further work if required.

We usually charge a call-out fee based on mileage to your clinic, there-and -back. The service will be billed per table and varies in price upon the complexity of the table.

We are sometimes asked to service non-Atlas tables. In general we will refuse this work unless the customer also has our tables on the premises. As we are not the manufacturers or suppliers of these other tables, we do not wish to take responsibility for them.

Upholstery

Over time, upholstery cover material becomes worn, foam compresses, and the pad absorbs dirt, sweat and cleaning fluids. Old and compressed foam will affect the interface between the body and the response of the drop mechanisms. The wooden base of the pad will also slowly become loose and may even start to crack sometimes, with heavy use.

New upholstery pads replace the wood, foam and cover. New wood provides a stronger fixture to the metal frames, fresh foam is more hygienic and supportive than keeping the old foam, and the new cover will be look and feel better.

Changing the upholstery during a service allows the engineer to access the inner framework more easily and allows an even more thorough service to be done.
